The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), Kaduna Operations Office, has conducted distribution of relief materials approved for victims of recent armed banditry and a fire disaster in Kaduna North Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
The intervention, approved by the Director General of NEMA, Mrs. Zubaida Umar, followed reports of the incidents conveyed through the Honourable Member representing Kaduna North Federal Constituency, Bello Ahmad El-Rufai.
Leading the distribution exercise, the Head of NEMA Kaduna Operations Office, Malam Suleiman Muhammad, conveyed the sympathy of the Director General on behalf of the Federal Government and prayed against a recurrence of such tragic events.
Beneficiaries expressed deep appreciation to NEMA for its continuous and timely support in times of distress.
The relief items distributed included maize, rice, spaghetti, vegetable oil, seasoning cubes, tomato paste, and salt.
The exercise was conducted in collaboration with relevant stakeholders and concluded successfully.
