NEMA, Minna Operations Office Participated in Stakeholders’ Meeting on Annual Fire Safety Awareness Week organized by Federal Fire Service Zone G. Which took place on 7th December, 2023 at Minna, Niger State.
The NEMA, MOO joined other Response Stakeholders in the state for a conference marking the end of 2023 Fire Awareness Safety Week, themed “Safety First: Avoid the Worst,” the program was aimed at raising awareness about effective Fire Safety Measure with an emphasis on the need for stronger partnership amongst all Stakeholders.
Representing the Head of Operations Haj. Fatima Santuraki reiterated the agency’s commitment to having resilient communities with an emphasis particularly regarding fire preparedness. She highlighted NEMA’s efforts to mitigate the anticipated occurrences of fire outbreaks and emphasized the need for all stakeholders to collaborate in combating all forms of disasters within the state.
The event was attended by representatives from CDRM&DS FUT Minna, FRSC, Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), the State Fire Service, and various other stakeholders.
