What is Swine Flu?

SWINE FLU EPIDEMIC: NIGERIA'S POSITION
On Friday 24th April, 2009 health officials in Mexico City, Mexico
identified a new strain of Swine flu, which caused illness and death among
its citizens. As at 11.am (Nigerian time) on Monday 27th April 2009, there
were 1614 suspected cases and 103 deaths from Swine Flu in Mexico.

Treatment
Treatment is with anti-viral medication, eg. "Tamiflu" or "Relenza" are effective against swine flu. There currently is no human vaccine against swine flu
