NEMA Losses Zonal Coordinator
….and Children in Road Accident
The National Emergency Management Agency has lost its coordinator for the North East Zonal office, Hajiya Fatima Abdu Usman in a ghastly motor accident that occurred today in Bauchi state.
The accident also claimed the lives of her five children who were in the car as they were returning to Maiduguri after a trip to Bauchi.
Born 1962 in Kwajaffa, Hawul LGA of Borno state, the late Hajiya Fatima held a Bachelor degree in History from Ahmadu Bello University Zaria. As zonal coordinator with office in Maiduguri she managed the affairs of the agency in the zone which comprises of six states of Borno, Yobe, Adamawa, Bauchi, Gombe and Taraba.
Director General of NEMA retired Air Vice Marshal Mohammed Audu-Bida expressed shock over the sad news and said she will be greatly missed for her honesty, hardwork, and dedication to duty. He prayed God to grant her eternal rest.
She is survived by her husband, aged parents, brothers and sisters.
