Air Commodore
David Abiola Ashebu was born on 12th June 1954 in Otukpo, Otukpo
Local Government Area of Benue State. He enlisted into the
Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) as a member of Short Service
Course 8 in July 1974 and was commissioned January 1977. He
attended several professional courses such as Primary and Basic
Flying Training at Royal Air force, Flying Schools at Leeming
and linton-on Ouse respectively in United Kingdom, Advanced

He is a recipient of Several prestigious awards such as B.sc and
MBA awards from Lagos State University, M.sc in strategic
studies, university of Karachi, Pakistan, Forces Service Star (FSS),
Meritorious Service Star (MSS), Distinguished Service Star (DSS),
Passed Staff Course (PSC), Fellow of the Air War College (FAWC)
and Fellow of the War College Dagger (FWC+).

He held Several appointments in the Air Force such as Staff
Officer 1 (SO1) Operations, Headquarters, Tactical Air Command (TAC)
Markurdi, Operation Officer, Combat Support Group (CSG), Ilorin,
Airlift Commander Operations Sea Dog; Acting Commander CSG
Ilorin, Operation Officer Air Transport Group, Ikeja, Deputy
Director and Acting Director Manual, Headquarters. He also
Served as a member of the Armed Forces Doctrine Development Team
with Military Professional Resources Incorporation (MPRI) and
also Coordinated C-130 Simulation for 88 Military Airlift Group
(88 MAG), Ikeja.
