TECHNICAL AND
LOGISTICS COMMITTEE |

The Technical &
Logistics Committee is responsible for drawing up technical and
logistics programmes which facilitates the operational
capabilities of NEMA. This committee conceptualized and produced the National Disaster
Response Plan.
Membership is drawn from the:
• Defence Headquarters,
• Armed Forces,
• The Nigeria Police Force,
• Nigeria Security & Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC),
• Federal Road Safety Commission,
• Federal Fire Service,
• The Nigerian Red
Cross Society,
• Federal Ministry of Health,
• Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC),
• Nigeria Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NAMASA),
• National Airspace
Management Authority (NAMA),
• The Director General (NEMA),
• The
Director, Planning, Research and Forecasting (Secretary).
Professor K.O. Ologe, OON, acts as Consultant and Observer. The
Committee is chaired by a serving military officer in the
Defence Headquarters not below the rank of a colonel.The decisions or and recommendations of this Committee are
usually forwarded to the Governing Council for ratification.
